This help article describes a known bug happening in the mobile app on iPhones for some users, and what we recommend you do if you are experiencing this.
What you may be experiencing:
- You're using our mobile app on an iPhone
- You're writing a new entry or making changes to an existing entry
- You leave the Qeepsake app to go to another app without saving your latest changes
- After a while, you come back to the Qeepsake app
- You're redirected to your dashboard and you lose what you were writing/editing
What we recommend you do in this situation:
- You're writing a new entry or making changes to an existing entry
- You save your latest changes
- You leave the Qeepsake app to go to another app
- You come back to the Qeepsake app and you can edit the entry you were looking at (click on the 3 ellipses in the top-right corner of your memory and choose 'Edit')
What we did about this:
We did a fix a few versions ago so that if you background and foreground quickly the app, in most cases, it will save what you were doing.
This is a known issue happening to other big-name apps as well (e.g. Google News, Facebook, etc.). It’s very difficult to save your latest action when you leave the app and other memory-intensive apps are open at the same time. To solve this would require significant resources on our part and is, sadly, not in our near-term roadmap.
